Brave Nature Pokémon: +Attack, −Speed

Brave raises Attack by 10% and lowers Speed by 10%. HP and the other stats are unchanged.

Decreases−Speed

When does Brave fit?

Consider Brave for physical attackers that rely on Attack-based moves. The lower Speed can help slow strategies, but makes moving first harder.

The right choice depends on the Pokémon’s moves, role and battle format. A nature does not change types, abilities or move availability.

Brave mint and flavors

A Brave Mint applies +Attack and −Speed stat effects in games that support mints. A mint does not change the Pokémon’s original nature, its flavor preferences, or the nature it passes through breeding.

A Pokémon whose original nature is Brave likes Spicy flavors and dislikes Sweet flavors.
